P&A supported a major international Oil & Gas company with the outsourcing of the maintenance management services associated with 130 expatriate residences and multiple office locations in Angola.

Utilizing our experience and knowledge of the challenging local Angolan market P&A developed a robust RFP process and supporting documentation and facilitated critical evaluation interactions.

The Property Management function of a major oil & gas client in Angola manages and facilitates all accommodation requests for short-, medium and, long term visits to Angola associated with company's business in Angola.

This process was managed through the use of a manual paper driven system. P&A developed and implemented a SQL database solution and automated repetitive tasks related to generating and facilitating standard client and hotel communications.

The efficiency and labor intensive nature of the manual process was greatly improved. The system also provides the client with performance management and powerful reporting capabilities not previously available.

P&A supported the property management function of a global oil company by developing the processes, tools, and systems to establish and maintain an accurate asset inventory.

The project required that assets be uniquely identifiable in such a manner that costs, location, essential life cycle information, failures, and maintenance history information were allocated thereto and that valid analysis of this data could be performed. The project team ensured assets were named, numbered and labelled according to an appropriate standard and documented protocol that was developed for the local property management function.

The project resulted in the ability to accurately track and report on the status of all assets over time using a database system and barcode scanning equipment. All assets under the control of the property management department were identified including residence assets and assets in storage utilizing local resources with P&A supporting training and quality control.

The Economic Value modeling project was designed to provide a global oil company with a value assessment associated with the delivery of FM related services, as well as a framework for measuring the “soft” areas associated with staff performance.

P&A supported a major global oil company in a developing country with the sourcing and implementation of residential maintenance services as well as “top up” services for their new shared office building. The capability and availability of the local supply market was tested in efforts to minimize the number of suppliers.

The project required P&A to define the customer’s service scope and service level requirements, evaluate the supplier market’s capability and availability, develop a sourcing approach and strategy, develop sourcing tender materials, and assist the company’s procurement function with the sourcing process.

P&A supports the property management function of a global oil company in an annual survey to assess the current level of customer satisfaction and analyze the department’s performance.

Since the baseline survey in 2008, data has been collected for each subsequent year. The collection and analysis of this data is used to measure the performance of the property management department from the customer’s perspective as well as measure the full scope of customers receiving services including local nationals as well as resident expatriates.

The output of this ongoing assessment has allowed the property management team to understand the impact of changes to facilities and services provided by the property management department, validate any significant changes in survey feedback compared to the previous year’s survey, and identify correlations and trends between variables related to demographics, performance, and satisfaction.

P&A designed and implemented a customer facing organization for the Property Management function of a major oil and gas company in a developing country including the systems, processes, tools, and training required to operate and manage performance.

P&A assisted the client in expanding on the use of Maximo functionality to include asset lifecycle management, cost reporting, and maintenance management. P&A supported a global oil company in a developing country with a change management project intended to prepare employees for working in a new work environment (open floor plan).

The goal was to maximize productivity and minimize disruption to the business by addressing how the people, processes, tools, and technology in the new environment can be used to their greatest utility. The initial brief included an operations assessment of Client real estate and facilities operations in Sub-Saharan Africa, the development of country specific RE recommendations and a regional IFM service delivery model.
