P&A was commissioned by a major oil company to conduct an energy screening audit of their facilities in Oklahoma and Texas. This audit was conducted in the summer of 2009 and identified many energy saving opportunities for the company. P&A developed a sustainable approach to ongoing reduction and management of energy usage for the client with included a first year savings of 15% on the current energy spend with an additional 5% energy cost savings in the following year all supported by a strategic energy management program.

P&A led the Facilities Maintenance Management Program (FMMP) at a large refinery in the US. The owners, a global oil company, were looking to structure and improve the planning and management of building related maintenance services to cost-effectively improve the safety, productivity, and operation of the building and facilities portfolio. P&A developed best in class facilities maintenance management processes, systems, and tools as well as identified, labelled, captured information, and assigned maintenance plans on thousands of previously undefined facilities assets that were operated in a run to fail mode.

P&A worked with the client’s site team to remove misalignment on responsibilities and information flow through the work processes. P&A also implemented a help desk system and organization which provided real time metrics and management information while improving the overall customer experience.

P&A utilized a structured process of interviews, site visits, desktop review, and workshops to gather and analyze information related to Health, Safety, Security and Environment (HSSE), service delivery and transition management, Management Information Systems (MIS), cultural fit and ability to partner, and their commercial approach towards their customers. During an interactive workshop with key executives P&A documented the path forward using a strategy mapping technique. P&A supported the property management function of a global oil company in the improvement and implementation of a Management of Change (MoC) program. MoC is a process safety and risk management tool used to systematically identify, evaluate and control foreseeable operational risks or potential hazards that could result from permanent, temporary or emergency changes involving our plant (physical infrastructure), people or processes.

To address gaps and improve the existing MoC procedures, P&A lead a team of technical experts from across the client’s organization to identify local best practices and work together to develop a standardized approach to MoC. The team developed the strategy, organization, processes, procedures, system, and training to deliver an effective program.

P&A supported a global IFM supplier and its FMCG customer in the execution of a joint continuous improvement program focused on implementing operational excellence as well as a robust contract governance framework.

This bold undertaking involved 21 initiatives with over 50 resources running in parallel. P&A provided the program management framework and training so that the site teams could take ownership of their initiatives. As a result of these efforts the IFM supplier has achieved its performance goals and the contract has been renewed with the expectation of a long-term partnership.

P&A conducted a Top-Down Review (TDR) of a major global bank’s corporate real estate services organization and its core functions through the lens of 12 Key Building Blocks for Success in Corporate Real Estate.

The assessment scope included a review of all functions involved in the end to end delivery of corporate real estate services including real estate, capital projects, engineering, service delivery, and business continuity management. The output of the project included a summary report outlining key findings and a strategy map showing key strategic themes and initiatives.
