Achieving his degree in Chemical Engineering and his Masters in Engineering, Zack has held various environmental, ergonomics and plant engineering roles as a licensed professional engineer within the automotive manufacturing sector. He went on to gain practical Facilities Management (FM) experience looking after R&D laboratories, offices and manufacturing plant again within the automotive industry.

Since joining P&A in 2007, Zack has consulted to a diverse range of multinational supply and demand side companies in environments ranging from refineries and assembly plants to corporate offices and mission critical LEED Platinum trading floors. The scope of his projects have ranged from the assessment of operations to the implementation of Corporate Real Estate (CRE) / FM organizations including the development of systems, processes, procedures, and tools for execution of operations and maintenance services.

  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) - IL
  • Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM)
  • Certified Ergonomics Associate (CEA)
  • Certified Plant Engineer (CPE)

  • Environmental compliance including env. reporting, contingency planning, EHS Auditing, pollution prevention, remediation, and hazardous materials management.
  • Design and implementation of management systems including, ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems and ISO 9000 Quality Systems.
  • Problem solving methodology including Six Sigma quality engineering and lean manufacturing process principles
  • Process engineering, development, and optimization for manufacturing and business systems and operations.

Experience

15 years local and international experience in:

  • Engineering management consulting including facilities and maintenance management, production support services, and commercial real estate services.
  • 8 years engineering experience in automotive manufacturing, including roles as an environmental engineer, ergonomics engineer, and plant engineer.
  • 2 years experience as a facilities manager of a major automotive plant supporting manufacturing, research & development labs, and office building environments.

MI Systems Experience

  • Designed and implemented web-based information systems for MSDS tracking, Title V air compliance reporting, ergonomics case management , and ISO 14001 EMS.
  • Lead implementation of customer helpdesk project for major oil company in Angola
